I have heard that Apricot Kernel Oil is a good alternative to Sweet Almond Oil, and it will give you a shelf life of 1 year under ideal conditions. Grapeseed Oil will give you a shelf life of 9 months or so. Olive and Coconut Oil might be a little too heavy, comparatively.
