Hi all! :)

I got my lotion formulation exactly where I want it and am about to start producing -like in a few minutes here, but I've run into a dilemma. :(

I don't know what the exact rule is for adding EO's - is it 1% by weight or volume?? For an 8 ounce bottle of lotion (by volume), 1% would be 2.4 ML of EO, but by weight it takes 9 ounces, which would then make 1% 2.7 ML of EO.

To make things easier, I like to use "even-measuring" - you think it would be ok to use 2.5 ML for each 8 (or 9) ounce bottle??

Please help!!
Thank you so very much!!

Yes! That would be fine. Just for the future, you should do everything by weight. Have fun and hope your lotion venture is successful!

I've gotten into the habit of doing everything by weight as well, except maybe a roll on perfume oil. It helps to take some of the guessing out of it. But I always stick to the max fragrance recommendations.
