I just had to share what a GREAT time I had teaching this weekend!

It wasn't one of my usual classes - which are generally CP, MP or candle making. This time, I volunteered to teach (and donate the materials for the class!) at a Women's Wellness Weekend at the YMCA Fairview Lake camp near me in New Jersey. In return, I also got to spend the weekend at camp.

It was SO MUCH FUN!! The class was very well received. I had two tables going ... on one, I had two double boilers set up on portable hot plates and we made WSP's Sugar Leaf Lotion Bars. On the other table, we made mud masks.

The mud masks were something the campers had made before and LOVED, and the camp director asked me to bring the ingredients to make them. I was afraid of making fresh mud masks and attempting to preserve them, for fear of contamination issues and growing mold/mildew/bacteria.

So, I racked my brain for a way to do this, and what I eventually did was buy Liquid Suspension Soap Base and Sea Clay. I also provided pipettes, a couple of EOs (lavender and peppermint), malibu tubes and lids, wooden scoops and little bags for the sea clay.

I had the participants bag up sea clay into the bags and attach wooden scoops to the bags. Then I had each participant pour liquid soap base into a malibu bottle which she could then add a couple of drops of essential oil to.

I explained to them the reason that we weren't mixing up the whole recipe at once, and I also explained to them how to later mix some liquid soap base with some sea clay to make a fresh mud mask when they wanted it.

I think everyone really loved this idea! Everyone also LOVED the lotion bars and kept asking for lotion bar recipes and where to get the ingredients! :-> We scented half of the mixture with the Sugar Leaf FO (also very popular!) and the other half I poured into containers for participants and they could choose to leave it unscented or add a bit of EO to it. I think that was REALLY popular.

I had such a great time, and I was so happy to share such a great hobby and great WSP products with everyone. Oh, it was wonderful! :->

Ela,
I recently ordered some products from Wei East. She does something very similar. She packages grounded mulberry leaves in tiny envelopes. To use it, you add some of her cleansing gel to it, mix it and scrub your face. Not really a bad idea!!
